Automated Manual Transmissions (AMTs): Combining elements of both manual and automatic transmissions, AMTs automatically shift gears like automatics but lack a clutch pedal, relying on the computer to manage the clutch. This design is cost-effective and can offer better fuel efficiency compared to traditional automatics.
